    The TrueCrypt forums say:
    The forum is temporarily unavailable.
    We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
    Please try back later.

    They have been that way at least a week, and Google seems to suggest they have been that way a month or more. Inqieries via "Contact" have yielded no results.

    Anyone know when they might be back up? Could they not use other forums such as here if they have so much trouble maintaining them?

    They haven't been down that long. From what I understand they are making some changes to the forums in preparation for the BIG release of TC 5.0 in January. The new release includes support for Mac OS X and the biggie - whole disk encryption. The expectation is that the forums will be flooded - hence some needed changes and they've taken it offline. I am guessing they will release TC 5.0 and the new forums on the same day - that's just a guess though.
