TrueCrypt 6.1 is out

    Exactly why i still use TC 5a and yes it works fine in the backup arena. Now i'm highly skeptical to ever expect a working 6 for XP users, and FYI directed at the Vista critics, the huge majority still use Windows XP/XP Pro for obvoius reasons and IMHO vista is done nothing but cause tremendous grief for all security programmers as well as made for huge delays in the newer innovations which were already in the development stage for XP when this junk called Vista popped out of the monkey's behind.

    IS that the same as the 5.1a that is still available for download from the website?

    Right, sorry. 5.1a is the current (and last) version of the v5 series, so thats the one to get.

    Overwritter, you should check better. Since 6.1 everything is fine with backups. I advise you to install 6.1a and try. Make a hidden container with passes and keyfiles for both outer & hidden volume. Everything works perfectly.

    Does anyone know if the header back up has been fixed in 6.1a?
