    Hello,

I would have liked to exclude some folders (and their sub-folders) when archiving:

    c:\windows\temp
    c:\windows\$folders$
    c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\temp
    c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\temporary Internet files

I do not know how to do.
For example, c:\windows\temp\*.* does not work as expected.
(True Image Echo Server, build 8 203)

    Hello adeo66,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image Echo Server for Windows

If you want to exclude some folder it should be kept in slashes. Here is the example:

    C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Test\

In this example folder Test should be excluded using exclude specified file/folders option.

    Best regards,

It works fine, thank you (except that I noticed a bug, I posted a new thread about that).

Please, is there a way to exclude folders using widcards?
For example, I would like to exclude the many folders beginning with the "$" symbol in "c:\windows" folder

    C:\WINDOWS>dir $* /ah /b

A different approach would be to delete Temp files and Hot fix uninstallers before you actually run a TI backup. My logic being if they are not worth backing up get rid of them.
For me %temp% and CC Cleaner do a good job. For good measure I usually run Widows disk clean up to get rid of all but the latest Windows restore point.

    Thank you for your reply.
This is great, but cannot be automated. And the fact is that I would have liked to keep the files on disk, and exclude them on backup.
I guess there is not any other solution, and I should add an entry to the wishlist..

    Hello adeo66,

Thank you for using Acronis Corporate Products

I created a request at Customer Listening System (CLS), maybe, this possibility will be implemented for the future releases.

    Thank you.

    thank you very much!.

ps: C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\ can be excluded too (quite huge, sometimes).
