The last days I bought the newest version of Acronis True Image, but I have a lot of problems!

I booted with an actual boot-media (I installed the current update!), there occur the following bugs:
    1. The mouse doesn't work correctly (MS Intelli Explorer 4 via USB); I think this bug is known
    2. The "Num lock" - button is deactivated and if I activate it, Acronis freezes
    3. Booting from Bootdisc does take much longer than in the version 7 (nearly 8 minutes?!)
    4. True Image 9 needs around 2 hours for compressing 5GB to 2,5GB; for example version 7 needs 20 minutes!!!

What can I do to solve these problems?
(I think it is not really good if an older version works much better than a newer one! Are there differents between the english and the german version?)

    My config:
    • CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3,2 GHz HT
    • RAM: 2048MB Twinmos PC3200
    • HDD: 2x 80GB (SATA) & 2x 160GB (IDE) (no RAID)
    • MAINBOARD: Asus P4P800SE
    • MOUSE: MS Intelli Explorer 4 via USB
    • KEYBOARD: MS Multimedia Keyboard

    Hello hit123,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Unfortunately, you have not specified what exactly "doesn't work correctly" phrase means.

However, there is a known problem when the mouse moves only vertically in Acronis Rescue Environment (either when your PC is booted from Acronis True Image 9.0 Bootable Rescue CD or when using Acronis Startup Recovery Manager).

If that's the case then please note that this problem is currently being investigated and will certainly be fixed soon.

Please also note that while the fixed build is not released, you can try booting with "usbmouse=off" parameter as it is described in Acronis Help Post (use "usbmouse=off" instead of "acpi=off noapic" parameter). It should solve the problem.

If my assumption is not correct then please clarify what exactly do you mean when saying that the "mouse doesn't work correctly".

Could you please create Linux system information (sysinfo.txt file) as it is described in Acronis Help Post?

Please also describe actions taken before each of the above listed problems appears step-by-step.

Please submit a request for technical support. Attach the collected sysinfo.txt file and information to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

There are no differences between English and German versions of Acronis True Image 9.0, except of language of course.

    Thank you.
