Hmm, after all my problems w/ Builds 826 & 859, I though perhaps I should try using one of the older builds too, specifically 768. But, when I go into my Acronis account/updates, and I look at history, the pop-up window only goes back to build 800. Maybe I can find the DL of that older build on an alternative site. I purchased TI8 only a week ago, so build 859 was the default install; never would've realized an earlier build may solve my problem (can't access my external firewire HD using boot CD, from either 826 or 859).

EDIT: Doh!!! I think that build 768 is only available for the server version. :'(

    Hello bravenew,

I have read your correspondence with Ivan and your problem is being investigated by our Development Team. It was very helpful of you to provide us with sysinfo.txt files for both builds. We are currently comparing them and hope this will allow us to find the solution. It would be really helpful if you downloaded the new build of Acronis True Image (build 889), create Acronis Bootable CD with it, try using it and let us know the result.

    Thank you.

    Hi John,

I think the answer to your question is - YES (see bravenew's post at #29 above).

    Regards
