Trouble Using Naviscope

I found out that I should have some sort of content filter on my system. It came down to Naviscope and Proxomitron. Since Proxomitron has a fair learning curve, I decided on the former. Every so often, my system would freeze whenever I try to launch the e-mail client (Outlook Express) while connected. I would have to reboot to get it going again. When I uninstalled Naviscope the problem went away. Has anyone experienced the same or something similar? I would like to stay with Naviscope, since it did speed up my surfing somewhat. I am running on PII 233 with 128 Mb RAM, Win98 SE, with AVG and Kerio running resident. Thanks in advance.

 

I'm not using Outlook for security reasons, but been using Naviscope with a pacfile for the longest of times, and never encountered any problems.
Which version of Naviscope ? Latest is 8.70
