Could anyone tell me if the quality and detection rates of trojans in NOD32 is as good as the virus detection as im reluctant to rely on one piece of software to cover both.I am currently using Trojanhunter,Avast and Processguard. As we all know NOD32 says it vitally important to uninstall all existing detection software. Also any links to articles or sites concerning my question would be grateful.Thanks.

The Trojan detection is close to but not as good as the virus detection. See here for some test results. http://www.av-comparatives.org/

layering your protections is a good idea - however, if you check the latest av-comparatives.org to see how nod32 stacks up against trojans in an independent test... I run other protection systems at the same time as NOD32, but not the ones you mentioned.

    Hi clearbluesea, welcome to Wilders.

I run Process Guard 3 alongside Nod32, as part of a layered defence. You can see what I use and a few other setups within the link in my signature.

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D
