Swiss cloud encryption firm Tresorit has announced today a number of new data residency options, which are meant to aid businesses in complying with ever-evolving data storage regulations.

As per the firm's transparency report, it makes use of Microsoft's Azure data centers to host customer data, an arrangement which is enhanced by its end-to-end encryption tech. While it currently offers only one option for data storage, namely in Ireland (Azure's North Europe region), today's announcement seeks to expand this selection.

As far as Germany as a data residency option is concerned, it will make use of one of the newly announced Azure regions, Germany North or Germany West Central. No further information is known currently.
