I remember buying Maximum and then found out the spam filter only worked on Outlook.....That was a deal breaker

 

Trend Micro improved greatly during the last year or so and its test results now match the best of the bunch.

 

Anti Spam?

The anti-spam engine was update, but the toolbar works only on outlook (so far)

 

Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired (stinks).

 

One issue I have with Trend's products is that they will only download product updates for the current version. There is no notification or option to download new versions - you have to manually download new releases.

When a new version is released, you receive an email, (email you register on the product installation) inviting you to make the update to the new version

 

I was not aware of that. Recently I was setting up some email accounts for a customer and noticed that on one of their computers Trend was a few years old, and another computer did have a much more recent version but it was still not the latest.

It would be good if you could update to the latest version from within the software itself.

smaller updates to the build itself, it came automatically, but from V5 to V6 for example, the customer receive an email but i will pass your feedback to trend micro.

How stable is this new beta, any issue whatsoever so far?

 

Right now, is stable, this is now an advanced beta testing level.
