   What does Tinyurl do exactly once installed?
   
   Several friend use it but I'm a bit suspicious about this "tool" because it involves a toolbar I used to have!

   TinyUrl does't "install" anything. All it does is add an internet shortcut to your Links bar.
   
   It's perfectly safe. I use it myself.
