    Hi Marja!

Hmm...I'm not too sure about that gateway....
    Looks a bit threatening!!!

Suddenly, Io's craters started spitting sulfurous gases and fire was not far behind... We were forced to make a quick exit from the satellite. :(

I glad the captain was so alert and was able to get us off the moon so quickly. The new alert sensors must be working well to have given the captain a little advance warning

GREAT BALLS OF FIRE, CAPTAIN!!!!

The crew NOT, I repeat, NADA, ready for that one!!!
Everyone was running around trying to get their weapons and tripping over picnic baskets!! It was a mess I tell you!! We MUST have a proper warning system, maybe Nadirah or Fire-Ant can come up with one??

Shorty is fit to be tied, he was with his .....uh....well, er... with... a new recruit, yea, that's the story! You should have seen the look on his face!!

Maybe so, BigC, but, some of us were not prepared!! Oddly enough the...er...uhm........new recruit seemed to be overly prepared! Maybe I better have a talk with Shorty!!

Sorry BigC, maybe the problem is with my crew. They have been keeping in touch with me, but, the whole story is sure to come out now!!

No reflection on your fine warning system, maybe I should have a warning system for my crew!!!! :D

Hey Marja, I like the little puppy...Are you sure that the little Husky will appreciate the heat on board? o_O It is getting hotter and hotter now.... :(
Temperature on board: close to 120f. :p
The heat is boiling at us, it is becoming unbearable. In order to distract us from the pain of the heat we started a game trying to remember a score of verses and quotations...

Captain: The golden apples of the sun?
    Bigc:Yeats
Captain: Fear no more the heat of the sun?
    Nadirah: Shakespeare of course!
    Captain: Hmmm..."Cup of Gold"
    Ronjor: Steinbeck
    Bigc: The crock of Gold?
    Marja: Stephens!
Ritaan: Captain! It is now 145F!!!

Captain to crew: We can't wait any longer. Quick, let's put our anti-heat shield into operation... Science officer Bigc, are you ready to activate it
    now? o_O

It has just been activated and there should be a dramatic reduction in temperature within three minutes. I believe it is already cooling off ;)

I am ready to see what it looked like. But we better keep the shields up just in case. If we get into trouble there is no rescue team available.

Right, one is never too cautious...especially when approaching
black holes. We must try not too get entrapped by them. :doubt:

not much perturbation yet....All circuits have been checked...the fuselage is still in a good condition despite all the flames spat at us by Io. Our vessel has proved to be reliable up to now...

We are still going our course...just like missionaries among destitute tribes of far-flung planets.
