I create bootable rescue media on usb flash drive, then reboot and receive message:

Acronis Loader fatal error: Boot drive (partition) not found.
Press <Enter> to try to boot your OS...

    Hello BuzzEd,

Please download the latest build of Acronis True Image 9.0. In order to get access to updates you should register account on our site (or just log in if you have already created it) and then register your copy of the product. After please create a new bootable media on usb flash drive and try to boot from it, if the problem remains please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc (the full version) and press F11 key when the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears? After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please remove the "quiet" word and click on the OK button. As the startup messages stop scrolling, you can use Shift+PgUp and Shift+PgDn keys in order to scroll the screen manually. Please write down the last few lines of the output, or use a digital camera to make shots of the output screens and send the captured information to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. This will allow us to investigate the problem.

    Thank you.

I created a USB bootable media using TI9 build 2277. I try to boot my ibm x31 (with usb bootable bios). It reads the USB and then complains
    "non system disk.... ".

Is there anyway to verify the USB bootable flash disk after it is created ? Or is there some trick I am missing ?

    Thanks

replying to my own previous post.... it worked! I formatted the USB to FAT instead of FAT32 and that seems to do the trick. So here are the steps:

    USB 128 mb flash drive.
IBM x31 with NO cd/floppy etc.
    Acronis 9 build 2277

    Format to FAT
create bootable media from acronis and choose flash drive

    Le voila, ca marche!

Thanks for posting that Ed. When I first tried a PNY thumb drive, Acronis would boot up to about 75% of the progress bar then error out. Luckily I have a Cruzer Micro and tried it - worked like a charm (with ver 8, of course, :) - I wouldn't touch ver 9 just yet)
