    Hi Guys,

    Build 3666 seems to have the Perc 5 driver now for the SCSI SAS drives but now the bootable rescue media does not see any of the network adapters on the DELL 2950! The prior builds saw the Network adapters but not the SCSI - whoa is me!

    Any chance you can check into this and get them working again soon?

    Thanks,

    dlesko

    I assume your talking about the Recue CD environment. Why not try a BartPe disk with Mustang's plugins.

    Bartpe http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/
    Mustangs plugins http://www.mechrest.com/plugins/

    Uses the windows drivers not LInux this way.

    We're using RIS through the network and snapman.sys keeps giving us problems using Bart PE. The funny thing is the rescue media was working prior to build 3666 but not the SCSI drivers. Now the SCSI drivers work but not the network drivers.

    Hello dlesko,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Please download and install the latest build (3677) of Acronis True Image which is available in the Product Updates section of our web-site.

    Please create the new bootable rescue media with the latest update and see whether the problem still persists.

    If the problem remains, please boot the computer from Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue CD and press F11 key when the selection screen advising you to select either "Full", "Safe" or "Boot into Windows" option appears;

    - After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please remove the "quiet" word, click on the OK button, choose "Full Version" and wait for # prompt to appear;

    - Issue the following commands:

    asamba dhcp -n
    asamba masters

    - Write down the output after each of the commands or use a digital camera to make a shots of the output screens;

    - Insert a diskette in a floppy disk drive and issue the following commands;

    cd tmp
    mkdir mntdir
    mount /devfs/floppy/0 mntdir
    cat /proc/net/dev > mntdir/net.txt
    sysinfo > mntdir/sysinfo.txt
    umount mntdir

    - Collect the net.txt and sysinfo.txt files from the diskette.

    Please also note that sometimes the sysinfo.txt and net.txt files are not readable from under Windows. In this case please try entering the file names using capital letters (SYSINFO.TXT, NET.TXT) or follow the instructions provided in this previous post.

    If you do not have a floppy drive then please take a look at this previous post explaining how to save the sysinfo.txt file to USB flash drive.

    Please submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.

    Hello dlesko,

    Please note that the new build 3694 of Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation is available in updates. Please create a new bootable CD using this build if you have note done it already and see if the issue persists.

    If the issue persists, please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc and press F11 key when selection screen appears. After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please remove the word "quiet", click on the "OK" button, select to boot the fulll version and wait for # prompt to appear. Please issue the following commands:

    asamba dhcp -n
    asamba masters
    cat /proc/net/dev

    Please write down the output information after issuing each of the commands, or use a digital camera to make shots of the output screens and send the captured information to us. You can use Shift+PgUp and Shift+PgDn keys to scroll the screen manually.

    Then issue the following command:

    sysinfo

    and write down the output information you receive after issuing this command, or use a digital camera to make shots of the output screens and send the captured information to us. You can use Shift+PgUp and Shift+PgDn keys to scroll the screen manually.

    Also create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post. Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the issue appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
