TI2009 lost in volumes

Hello,

frankly, I can't express my annoyance with TI2009. I've tried it zillions of times, and it keeps failing me.

Fine, whatever, I'll be alpha tester again.

1) "Create new full backup after".. does not work. I have set it to "7", and "delete old" marked, but it's now up to 23 differential images, and no sign of any change.
2) Can someone friggin explain me how on earth do I create a task which makes differential images? Why on earth do I need to first _manually_ create a full image? Why on earth can't it automatically create a full image if destination does not exist, and if it exists then create a differential image? Take this - it created 23 differential images. I deleted it. And the task won't run anymore! Because it's missing image3.tib! Why on earth would it be looking for image3.tib? Even when it _DID_ create image.tib, which appears to be full image, then WHY does it whine about image3.tib??

WHY does it look for image number 3, when it just created a full image? So DO i or DONT i need to manually create first full image if i want differential backup? If I DO, when why does it create full one by itself then whine, and if i dont then what do i specify in "add image to archive" in task options?

gosh, this unecessary complexity makes me want to scream and bang my head to the wall!

Have you tried the latest build: 9709, this seems to iron out a few of the plethora of problems!

Can you please download the latest build of Acronis True Image Home 2009 (9709) from your account (My Account -> Registered Products) and test it.

Starting from build 9646 Acronis True Image Home 2009 has the ability to create desired number of incremental/differential backup archives after the full backup. The functionality is similar to Backup Location Management in earlier product versions (Acronis True Image 10.0 Home and Acronis True Image 11 Home). You can find it in Optional Steps -> Backup Method while performing backup wizard setup.
