Using Acronis True Image Home 2009 (9646) to do the following.

To make a full backup after two incremental backups and delete the old files. This is run daily.

    example:
    1) full backup
    2) incremental
    3) incremental
    4) start over, make full backup and delete old backups.

Cycle #4 always completes with the below error.

I tried starting over by creating a new task to backup & deleting all backups through True Image.

    Thank you for your help

    Hello gww528,

Thank you for your interesting in Acronis True Image

The I/O errors may concerns Acronis SnapAPI drivers malfunction or file system errors. You may try to reinstall Acronis True Image Home 2009 and run chkdsk utility. Check the disks for errors in the following way:

    - Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)
    - Enter the command: "chkdsk DISK: /r" (where DISK is the partition letter you need to check) for every partition that is visible in My Computer. Please note, that checking the C: drive may require you to reboot the machine.

If the issue persists write support request and send log file with the error message. You will be provided with the latest SnapAPI driver for Acronis True Image Home 2009.

    Best regards,

    Hello gww528,

Thank you for your interesting in Acronis True Image

Please make sure that network disk is available, please try to use the UNC path like \\Server\directory instead of mapped drive.
When you map the drive, it becomes mapped only under your Windows account. Acronis True Image Home 2009 runs its tasks using the system account and so it is sometimes impossible to locate your mapped drive (especially when you are logged off). Please use the full UNC path (e.g. \\server\share\) instead of the mapped drive.

If the issue still persists attach Acronis Report:

Download Acronis Report utility available at http://download.acronis.com/support/AcronisReport.exe and run it, create a report and send it to us. Please compress the Acronis Report output file into an archive (e.g. with WinZip) and attach to your message by browsing for the archive. This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.

    Best regards,
