Thunderbird, University-Proxy and ESS

    Hi!

    I have a huge problem with Thunderbird, because it is not possible to receive or send mails (and using the gmx-interface is a not really satisfying solution).
    I have the ESS vers. 3.0.667 (standard), Thunderbird 2.0.0.16, Windows XP Home (completely updated) and a proxy which I have to use (http).

    Every time I try to use Thunderbird, it gets a timeout.

    I hope you have any solutions for this problem (didn't found a solution here).
