    Thanks.
Not yet available via the internal updater (52.3.0), at least on my end. Maybe it's the weekend.

Just being curious, is it normal that it takes three days between the announcement and the release? Sorry for being a little impatient.

Yes, you are right. The weekend seems to be the cause for this delay :)

You have the option to enable telemetry, which is disabled by default.
    Is there something I'm missing?

I just used the auto-updater in Thunderbird to update itself to v52.6.0 successfully. Also the download for this release is OUT THERE on the production Mozilla servers.

I thought that the blog post by Ryan Sipes (Community Manager for the Thunderbird project) on 7 Feb. 2018 might be interesting.
    https://blog.mozilla.org/thunderbird/2018/02/what-thunderbird-learned-at-fosdem/

I'm not quoting everything from the blog.
Here are the topics about which Ryan Sipes wrote in the blog:
    Feedback from FOSDEM :
    1. I thought the project was dead. What’s the plan for the future of Thunderbird?
    2. I would like to see a mobile app.
    3. Where’s the forum?
    4. I want built-in Encryption
    Final Thoughts
