    Possibly policies.json. Info

    Maybe one of these will turn off checking among other things.
    AppAutoUpdate Enable or disable automatic application update.
    DisableAppUpdate Turn off application updates.

    What's wrong with not now. A Reminder is usually a good thing to make you aware of possible security updates.

    I have multiple accounts in Thunderbird, in the GUI on the left you have your accounts with different folder underneath them. Does anyone know how to change the order of the accounts, e.g. move them up and down?

    You need to create a file called policies.json in a folder named distribution and place it in your Thunderbird folder. This will keep Thunderbird from auto-updating and you can check for updates manually if you want without being prompted.
    Code:
    {
    "policies":
       {
         "AppAutoUpdate": false
       }
    }

    Hi @Adric
    I have nothing again keeping thunderbird updated , but I was used to have auto resize image and auto aompress file , they don't work anymore with tb v70 and later:thumbd:
    I was sure I could add in the about:config
    and I don't need to add app.update.doorhanger & app.update.silent in policies.json ?
    I have posted a link but it was removed
    and I would like to have the cc and cn fields as default and not click always on the >> :thumbd:
    thanks Adric , appreciate it
