My Thunderbird upgraded itself today when I opened it, and I got an error saying that the "ESET Smart Security Extension 5.0.94.0" was not compatible. It let me check for an update and returned no results.

I'm not sure what this means as far as protection goes, but FYI, something has changed.

Email received via POP3 will be scanned for threats even by v4.2 regardless of the email client used.

Why is Eset not making a plugin compatible whit the version 10 ESR?

Maybe but other developers of Mozilla add-ons seem to be coping well enough. Also, it's not just a question of email still being scanned because with Smart Security the extension is also responsible for providing spam filtering.

    Hi Ronjor,

I want to send you a private message but the system says:
private messaging system is currently unavailable.
Can you tell me please when the private messaging system is ready for sending private messages?

    Dear regards,Geert

Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo mail, have very good spam filters on their own.
