It offered it to me in German. I had been looking around the sites web pages so perhaps that triggered the change. Also it offered it for Win 7 and not Win 10.
Loading the site again sorted things out for me.

Guys are there any new and important features in this final version? Months ago I downloaded version 75.0.111.0, which was running quite smooth. But I couldn't figure out how to disable the stupid homepage which is displayed on every tab that you open.

It looks like you can't disable it.

Have you found a way to make the ''a privacy reminder from Google'' settings stick after you have completed it?
Doesn't matter what I do it's there next time I open the page
Don't have this issue with other browsers or old Edge

I'm using AdGuard for Windows, which blocks that staff.

Rather confusing the name Edge for both the old and new browser.

My neighbours asked me to put the new Chromium Edge on their machine.
So I did the same as I did with my machines.

Only difference is on their machine Edge opens up again by itself as soon as you close a webpage. Only way to keep it shut at the moment is to kill it with the taskmanager **sigh**

I presume it is no different as they seem to be directing 'ordinary' users to the site to get it.

Can you make Adguard block the pop up for Switch to Chrome for Windows?

This new Edge is running smooth. I guess using Chromium as a base isn't that bad after all. For the first time in my life, I can actually consider using a browser from MS. Hope they don't add too much bloat to the browser.

You may add a similar rule in AdGuard "User rules" filter ( ||.gb_fa, .gb_g ).

So do I just add exactly what you typed in the rule? ( ||.gb_fa, .gb_g )

If so, did not work. But not the end of the world. Thanks.
