    Thanks for your response here.
But I'm talking about search suggestion, not search results. On that website, search suggestion doesn't work in Edge, but works with both Chrome and Firefox.

I entered the registry rules to enable 3 policy:

    • UserAgentReduction
    • SandboxExternalProtocolBlocked
    • BrowserCodeIntegritySetting
    I also enabled these flags:

    • Enable Back/Forward Cache
    • Project Robin experiment
I also enabled these 2 new Command Line:

    • CookieDomainRejectNonASCII
    • EnableCsrssLockdown

    still experimenting with foolish settings?

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/web-platform/user-agent-guidance
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/web-platform/user-agent-guidance
    https://thewincentral.com/microsoft-edge-on-windows-10-gets-project-robin-assistance-features/
    https://github.com/dreammjow/ChromiumHardening/blob/main/flags/chrome-command-line.md

    "SandboxExternalProtocolBlocked" is removed with v117.

    "UserAgentReduction"
upcoming: feature detection instead user agent. and faking the ua still cause issues. reduction is nothing else.

    "BrowserCodeIntegritySetting"
(only) available with v104 or newer.
    "projec robin"
so it wont work for you, or me!

    "CookieDomainRejectNonASCII"
    "EnableCsrssLockdown"
    not available for edge

I only waste time with your first (stupid) answer.
If it will be removed with version 117, at version 117 I will remove the registry rule.
What do you care if at version 117 this policy will be removed since we are at version 103?

    And one of the last:

upps, missed the second line :thumb:
because such switches will be forgotten within few weeks. my experience for those running for questionable tweaks. the majority do not need such tweaks, set and forget may harm browsing experience.

the problem you throw in - again, after thunderbird - i assume this because of that: you write such tweaks down with further investigation. the most of the latest list do not work on regular systems.

next issue: HOME users cannot use GPO/ADM/ADMX, so they need reg-tweaks or switches. switches have a general issue: if they are set only in links they do not work all any time. calls from external software do not know about switches because windows uses registry.

Edge and Chrome, Chrome in front of Edge, are the securest browser with default settings and a standard windows account.

    This is not correct.
Enabling some policy improve security,by enabling the sandbox when by default it would not be enabled.
Or some command lines force the AppContainer, example for the GPU,when at default it would be disabled.
If there are no compatibility issues there is no point in ignoring these hardening changes.

@Sampei Nihira Would you mind sharing your flags and regedits? I recently re-did my machine and I thought I had them written down. Apparently not. :p

I am including all the parameters I have adopted, not the ones I am testing (which you can find in my previous post).
    Registry rules:

    • AudioSandboxEnabled
    • DnsOverHttpsMode - secure
    • DnsOverHttpsTemplates - https://dns11.quad9.net/dns-query
    • NetworkServiceSandboxEnabled
    • RendererAppContainerEnabled
    • SandboxExternalProtocolBlocked
    P.S.

I forgot to write that I also set these registry rules to delete the Insecure Cipher Suites as per the image:

i dont have doubt about your investigations, but your conclusions go a wrong direction. if you want to hard your edge, no problem, either the switches work or not. just a technical view for me, not on your work.

    TLSCipherSuiteDenyList
    https://techcommunity.microsoft.com...suite-deny-list-management-policy/m-p/2095633
    https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/Edge-Enterprise/issues/254
i know same list for firefox, to limit TLS or SSL for weaker encryptions. this may work, but it can could worse eg. for mega.nz. firefox and also Chrome/edge are save enough to handle such encryptions. LibereWolf is advertising this very questionable setting as a "feature".

i have done my homework longer ago and still experimenting, at least i am phasing out deprecates switches and pointless switches.

eg any chromium build can disable canvas -> to avoid canvas fingerprinting. but at least some of my extensions did not work, because canvas is used. the extension badges, eg for uBlock are displayed with canvas.

what i use are some in /flags. and for the blame i used O&O Shutup for edge, quite convenient, overseeable.

    DnsOverHttpsMode
Is overriding with settings "secure" any other DNS, also HOSTS file, and also bypasses VPN. And also any other type of control, eg webservice from antivirus.

Perhaps an idea to bring this feature also to other Chromium based browsers, like Chrome, Vivaldi, Opera and Brave? Weird that this feature is only available on Edge.

Thanks, but what are you trying to say, is it some kind of switch in Chromium?
