Can anyone please hazard a guess why, or how to overcome the following,
I right click on the notification end of the systray - click Properties -
CHECK 'Hide Inactive Icons' and click Apply but no matter how many times I try I can't get the 'Sliding' end - other words it's a 'stop end' where all icons are visible - It was good, but then I allowed M$ to download and install IE7
which is supposed to keep all settings.

I could not get on the net this morning without having to make changes - Now I see this IE page has encroached further down towards the systray with some more added rubbish on the top toolbar area but I can't get rid of it as was possible with IE6 - Does anyone know how to lose the lowest of the
    4 top toolbars in IE7 please ?

If I've understood right you need to right click and unlock the taskbar to get the sliders.
