The power of writing in LaTeX - demonstration

Hello,

As you may recall, I posted an article two weeks, showing how documents can be written in a way much superior to conventional word processors.

To see the actual difference in quality, professional look, uniformity etc, you may want to browse through my Design of Experiment pdf article - first see the version written in OpenOffice, then converted to .pdf, and then try the LaTeX version, converted to .pdf.

I don't wanna sound cocky, but I feel really posh when I state at that LaTeX ... no naughty pun intended ...

Don't post a screen shot of your latex editor focusing on a complex page or you will frighten people.

 

Why is the font on the Latex pdf so small? At 100% zoom, the OpenOffice created one is much more readable.

It's a known pdf glitch rendering Computer Modern fonts - that's because CM are actually much, much more accurate and the quality of the displayed font is better than the pixels showing them.
