You can choose "Custom Installation" to install modules that you want.

The program folder contains some backup of its signatures files. 200M is not too large if compares to some AV/AM.:D

    And if we compare to some other AVs/AMs/ASs (like E*** , A**** , F-**** , K******** , etc) , it is really too large

I see your point, BUT, imo, SEP is completely ahead of f*****g Panda in ALL tests around. That being better or worse?.....let the user be the judge to that, all I can say is, that Panda STILL doesen't allow users to upgrade for "free" (having bought their product for more than a month ago, or so?) and still their firewall doesen't allow VPN connections. So if you're the "lucky" owner of Panda , you still can't connect, as a/the IT manager, to your servers on your work, to see if everything is doing just fine. IMO that's a REAL f***up.

    Cheers

Have you Hugged your Panda today ? :D

On a serious note tho is there a way to disable the firewall I have never tried panda and I don't plan on it but I'm curious if you can disable mod's or is a full install no matter what ?

Honestly you shouldn't have to disable the firewall, to get through to your servers at work, and I'm not sure that will work (it didn't in their 2006-2007-2008 editions). Believe me, I have tried almost every AV and/or security suite out there, and they ALL allow VPN except Panda. Can you "live" with that, I guess you're home free, but I sure as hell can't, sorry to be so negative, but it really p***'es me off with that Panda issue.

    Cheers

You can disable firewall after installing Panda, but it will keep showing you periodic pop-ups saying that your protection is in RED.

Else during installation, you can choose custom install with no firewall module. This will cause no pop-ups during use.

@JasSolo: Just talking about the installation size. SEP takes a mammoth 500 MB which makes Panda's 200 MB look like peanuts.
Thats all. Which is better :cautious: Well, I don't know and I can't discuss here :gack:

Panda installer is approx 100 MB. But post installation and update, Panda directory will swell to 200 MB.

That's the advantage when its a Independent test you still control WHO you are pitched against. would not be a good idea to put your self against anything that would shoot down your program.

    Imagine that Market strategy.

I run Panda Global Protection and use my VPN to the office almost everyday with no problems. I am using the Panda Firewall too. Please respond to my email I sent you and I can work with you and Tech Support to get that fixed.

    Hi Everyone,
Panda offers a free upgrade for anyone who purchases the product 30 days before the new product comes out.

On the flip side, as an employee, we do upgrade users for free on a one off basis. All you need to do is ask! I would be more than happy to help anyone with the upgrade. Just email me at Jconnett@pandasecurity.com.

I can upgrade you for the time left on your subscription.

I can assist with any questions on the products as well!

    thanks
    Jennifer
