Hey, that looks wonderful! The new UI is really attractive. Really looking forward to using it. :)

Looks great. No beta this time, not even by invite like the last time?

Looking good :) I have a few questions:
-The protection of the Identity Shield is no longer customizable, is it now on maximum for all websites?
-I like the new heuristics settings, but Warn on execute when not trusted is no longer a separate setting, so if you have it set to that, something untrusted executes, the user allows it, which heuristics level is then applied?
-"A seamless update process – product improvements are continually added in the background, with no action required"
Does that mean improvements can be rolled out independently of new product versions or that the products update process itself has been streamlined?
-Could you give some more detailed info on Webroot Infrared?
-The Authenticating Files pop-up is gone? :(

    Yes, exactly.

If the user clicks 'Allow' when "Warn if not trusted", it then passes through the Maximum, then Enhanced, and then Standard heuristics before truly being allowed.

This is business-as-usual for Webroot, with updates taking place silently and automatically.

I believe we'll be writing a whitepaper about it soon.

Yes, unfortunately that was causing more problems than it was worth (as some members here had seen) and it wasn't possible to fix some of the display complexities, especially with multiple users logged on. Additionally, it produced some confusion, with people thinking that when it showed was the only time the file was being monitored. I suggest just using the Execution History view if you want to get better visibility into what's happening (and you can double click on each of the process event lines to view exactly what changes each file is making).

Thanks and let me know if you have any other questions!

all I can say is, it looks like Joe and the rest of the Webroot team heard us. It looks like it has closed the back doors that allowed it to be tested and not understood. With this version, it at least appears, that has been answered.

One question Joe. Why is my daughter next to you in the video?:D

This is confusing, but yes apparently he's name is Wez if I heard right, one thing is sure he doesn't look like Joe anyway :p, judging by the last time a saw a pic of Joe on pcmag.com in an article. :)

But, just above the video one can read

I also thought it was weird, as I was expecting to hear the man in the video speak with a UK accent, not American. Since if I remember correctly Joe is from the UK :D

As TH said, I'm American, born and bred ;) And I'm the voiceover showing the product, not Wes (who is at the beginning/end). Unfortunately all I have here is a microphone and with a packed travel schedule, I didn't have time to go to our headquarters in Colorado to record a video :)

If there headquarter is in Boulder they are probably still water logged. They had horrible flooding there. I have good friends that live in Boulder. I can't believe we have not had more flooding here in Kentucky where I am. It has rained almost every single day this year. I'm not kidding! It has rained 5 out 7 days every week this year here.

Great move with the Identity Shield always being at maximum protection for all websites! Let's hope we don't get to see any issues regarding that.

The product's GUI looks a lot more logical and sleak.

I'm curious about the Infrared technology. Is it is just a name for fancy marketing purposes? We'll see! Looking forward to the white paper and, obviously, watching it in action.

The Identity Shield always being in Maximum Protection actually worries me. Anytime I have had issues with WSA blocking something I did not want blocked it was the Identity Shield Module doing it. It has not happened often, but i'm still concerned.

I'm still waiting for the update here. WSA continues to say up to date so I have not been able to use the new version. I still have build 8.0.3.3. Maybe someone from Webroot could post, or send me a direct link for the update here. If not here they can post it, or send it to me over at Webroot's forum. I also made a request for the link there as well.

Good night everyone. I will check back in the morning. Got to get some sleep.

You're using the latest build. The 2014 is still in beta. Not released yet. When released you can always get it via your Webroot Console.;)
