    I'd really like to see this graph with thick discernible greatly different colored lines so we could see whats really going on.

    In the case of newbies - do you always answer a question with a question - that is no way to treat newbies! It should be sufficient to just tell them instead of asking them. This is a case of a question retarding the flow of information.

    I mean I was listing only the basic raw command line package managers.
    Not the utilities that wrap them, or present a GUI, like yum, apt, zypper, etc.
    And then the frontends, like synaptic, muon, etc.

    Which is why we have only deb, rpm and pet listed.
