How do we get the free license after clicking "Like" on the Facebook site? My wife's Facebook account was number 42.

    Thank you.

    Later...

When it reaches 500 and the giveaway ends, Tony will send the codes to all the people who liked the software. It shouldn't take long to reach (its at 64 already), and in the meantime you can use SD in trial mode (it is valid for a month).

PS Scrap that, I'm sending the keys myself

Shadow defender doesn't have any other type of license, its got to be lifetime. You better grab one JL, it is worth it.

@Cyberman, I hate FB but the effort that you putting into this has to be recognized. Thats the fair thing to do. Congratulations, keep the enthusiasm on high.

Amiga, in my opinion, Shadow defender is the best of its kind. Thats why I moved my XP and W7 to SD despite never having any kind of issue with the LV programs that I was using before (WTF in XP and TTF in W7).

Great, but only issue is AX64 compatibility. I guess the only bad scenario would be running shadow mode and imaging (like hourly backups) at the same time.

Thank you all for your support folks! The giveaway was my idea actually. Tony is great at writing code but he has no time to promote it all by himself.

The Beta is pretty stable, and it includes the latest feature, a registry exclusions list.

Unfortunately, SD breaks AX64 (whenever Shadow Mode is enabled)!!! I have been using AX64 since it was first announced; just about every beta and final version. I like AX64 very much and I really admire the developer's (Isso) dedication to interacting with his user base.

However, my son and I discovered that SD's Shadow Mode interferes with AX64's sector-tracking mechanism and as a result all AX64 incremental snapshots (automatic or manual) will, at best, take as long to create as its baseline snapshot, and at worst, result in corrupted snapshots! There is no question that SD conflicts with AX64 and I suspect that is true of most, if not all, light-virtualization apps and AX64. :(

So as I see it, the choice is to either use AX64 without using SD (relying on AX64's snapshots for rolling-back your system), or to use SD with some other image-backup app (the 'modus operandi' I'm presently pursuing).

Never fear. You'll get a return PM with Tony's promotional license. I already got mine. In good shape here.

This is mighty generous of the developer.
