I've never in my life had a hardware issue with a computer until I bought my current computer. All of a sudden, the entire computer starts freezing seemingly at random. I scratched my head.

    Is it the AV?
    Is it Chrome?
    Is it Edge?
    Is it Firefox?
    Is it VLC?

Turns out, it was the SATA driver. Downloaded them from the ASUS website (My computer has an ASUS motherboard but isn't an ASUS computer) and I've had no issue since!

Well, except Application Guard has completely stopped working, forcing me to use Virtualbox.

@Beyonder yes, yours is one of many cases I had, but for some your issue is negligeable because you are one of the few having it... Let see what they say when their loved one dies or become crippled because the wrong medicine was given.. Still negligeable right?

You're wrong @guest , you are not entitled to disable WD. M$ thinks any user, anyone, is a retarded and can do harm to themselves so nope, not an option. What are you thinking @guest ?
    Pfff.
