Indeed, I've got the same problem today.

Thanks to you too for that link, Marianna !

I noticed earlier today that my Integrity Checker Adinf32 Pro warned me that ibu.dll was deleted, and now I read in that thread from another poster about that file.
Going to have a look at my log of Adinf32 to be sure about that.

    Cheers, Jan.

    Jan,

I'm a bit surprised - I just ran The Cleaner and have NO problems at all! When did you encounter the problem??

I looked up 2 files you mentioned - I have:

    - C:\Program Files\The Cleaner\Moolive.db 1.12.02
    - C:\Program Files|The Cleaner\update.dat 1.12.02

I saw you have these files dated november 29, 2002!

    Hi Marianna,

I'm afraid I don't have the answers at the moment
I guess we have to wait until Moosoft clears the situation......

    Jan,

    sorry - I can NOT update :(

...... "authentication failed" - so there is still "something wrong" !

    Thanks Marianna.

Left clicking on it gives me:
    "No Database Selected".
I must be doing something wrong, or.....
And I wonder whether it would solve the "Authorization"-problem....
I'm afraid that Moosoft has to come out with a very clear statement about what caused the problem and how to solve it. I don't like companies that doesn't do that and such a company will very rapidly loose my trust, which means I will delete their software. I'm getting a little bit sick about companies without very good customer-support. But that all is only my personal opinion! (Sorry for the rant!).

    Hi Marianna,

I was still typing my "rant" while you were posting, sorry!

Moosoft has to come out with a solution or....

    Ladies, Gents,

No matter how I feel about this software: this problem seems to exist less than 24 hours. All software designers will encounter design problems on occasion - the sooner they are solved the better. But it's not that uncommon to give them some time to solve their problems. 24 - 48 hours seems a decent period - at least to me ;).

    regards.

I apologize for my earlier postings in this thread; this was not the way to go!

    Sorry, FanJ.

    Hi Paul,

I just tried to update again - I have NO luck - I still get the "authentication failed" and afterwards the "30 day Evaluation Period Expired"

I can scan by putting in again the username and registration - but trying to update - gives me the "authentication failed"........ :D

    Marianna,

    Grabbed this one from Moosoft:

I suggest giving this a try, and contact moosoft in case the proposed solution doesn't work for you.

    regards.

    Hi Marianna,

I presume you used the addy as mentioned. Don't hesitate to drop me an email in case you'll get no response within say a day or two.

    regards.

    Hi Paul,

(As I mentioned before) that ibu.dll is already removed from the system; it isn't clear why. So that will not help here, as I presume..... I'm a little bit afraid that a lot of people have to send Daniel an email.....

    Hi Jan,

So I've noticed - it doesn't seem to bother in regard to the problem: I for one could easily update.

Merely quoting Moosoft here, Jan ;)

If so: so be it - and it should be handled fast.

    regards.

    Paul,

I could update after almost 50 "pop-ups" and inserting username and registration #.

    Jan:

One person in the Moosoft forum suggested this:

Try putting a shortcut on your desktop to the MooLive Updater with Windows Explorer and try updating from that.

    Does that work for you??

    Thanks Paul and Marianna !

I will try your suggestion, Marianna; but I'm afraid it has to wait a little while (you know, 5 Dec.: Sinterklaas over here in Holland ;)).

    Cheers, Jan.
