Does anyone use "THE BAT" for Email?
It seems like it might be a good replacement for
OE. Been on the site and cannot find any way
to contact them. Would like to download the manual
and read it before I buy.
Need an email that will handle 4 identities and 4 address books.
    Thanks,

    Hi Han,
I have thunderbird on my Puter and it
has a different method of handling multiple
identities that are not compatible with the
    method used by OE.
I tried for a week to do it then someone on
this forum told me it was impossible in Thunderbird
    and I agree.

Shankle, I don't use The Bat but perhaps The Bat FAQs might help you gain an insight into the product.
Looks like you need to purchase the program before asking any questions: Customer Support Centre. :doubt:

    Shankle,

Have you checked M2 in Opera? I was an ex Outlook user and before switching tried out Bat and Eudora briefly. Then I settled for Tbird till it hosed by 60mb backup mails. Have been using M2 since its inception and till now it has never let me down. Only thing is that it doesn't create HTML mails, it does read them however. Opera handles multiple identities with ease but the backup and address book is unified though.

    Shankle,

I am using the Bat and it is a very good product. It offers lots of features and ways to customise so you better prepare yourself for a bit of a learning curve but support via a forum and a mailing list is excellent.

You can try before buying http://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/thebat/download.php and use the program for 30 days.
I have been using TB for several years and can highly recommend it. One other positive feature - there is constant development and TB is not susceptible to many security risk in OE or Outlook. :D
