I have a list of stuff I do not like. High on the list is "All other lists besides my list"

Hola JRV, only kidding. Thanks for the link. Got 7-zip from it.

    bellgamin, you're welcome! I use 7-Zip Portable, from PortableApps.com.

I'm always thinking about those new Wilders visitors that have no lists so... I hope we are helping all of them. Take care.

7 Zip rocks, been using it for years.

Thanks for the links, there is some stuff Id like to try.

Special mention of Ninite, that looks very useful already, and has great potential.

mantra, while I respect your decision to disagree, keep in mind that you could be using software that others do not agree with as well, so it's all a matter of opinion.

There is not too much discussion about Cobian at Wilders and I personally use SyncToy. Perhaps you could PM Member chrisretusn (Re: Post) who was using Cobian last year.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and again, a matter of opinion.

Hi and thanks for this tread, JRViejo.

I didn't know of Ketarin updater. Seems interesting to possibly be able to automate the safe keeping of all wanted up to date installers. Unfortunately, for me on XP, it needs .NET Framework 2.0 prior installation. If someone already tried it, I would like to know (before I mess with .NET) if we have to enter the programs listing by hand with downloadable addresses for each and all apps. I think there are some specialized templates available from their forum but I would prefer if Ketarin could help it by scouting the program file directory and propose a list that we could taylor for our needs.

    Ah, ok, I understand.
And yes, SandboxIE is just loveable. Almost essentiel in a good protective layered setup (is it an english phrase??) nowadays! And never gave me any problem here on XP. Hope your reinstall will go fine...
