Based on the good reviews I bought Acronis recently (switched from Drive Image). Today I did my first restore and did the most logical things during the restore: select the restore-file, select the drive to be restored on, select verify, select active and did the restore. Restore completed successfully. Reboot. Read-error!! alt-ctrl-del I did the restore from CD-ROM same problem. I had to fallback on a DriveImage restore (which I still had, luckely!) There it showed... My D+E partitions HAVE GONE!!! That means: - all the emails, office stuff, etc.etc.!!! - all the stored program files (software). GREAT!! Seems Acronis can't handle a simple ATA-RAID-0, something good old DriveImage 6.0 can. A total of around 60-70GB of software and data has gone!! THANK YOU ACRONIS!! -- Yeah I know, backup, etc.etc. If it is a HD-failure, then it is my fault/stupideness, now it is Acronis that screwed up!
