    Mr.X,

Nice. I see you have resized the ESP.
Can you do this at some stage? In PFW or BIU. Select the Windows RE partition, Properties, In the name field type RE or your desired name, OK.
Having a partition named is better than having it blank.

Do you think it's a good idea to use Direct DASD IO.
The manual says «Use direct IO to access hard drives instead of native UEFI IO. Will fall back to native IO if unable to use direct access

    How about these three?
They were deselected but I selected them:

I've never understood what it (Direct DASD IO) did so I haven't used it. Try it if you like.

I use Align Partitions on 1 MiB Boundaries.

I don't use Cylinder alignment because it's an old alignment method. Pre SSD. Use it if you have WinXP on a HD.

Assume Same Target System... I've never used it.

Oh, I selected it and made the boot media and installed BIU already.:D
Hope it can be disabled if I reinstall, or not?
A few times I did this years back. Better have such feature enable than not.

But then it applies to all restores. You can enable that setting for individual restores.

If you make new boot media and choose reinstall, the old settings will be gone.

    We'll both be happier.

Edit... In BIU Settings you can turn "Assume Same Target System" on and off.

    Done.
Also I noticed that if I introduce an incomplete key (for example 1 character less) or no key no name to license the product, the installer does not complain and keeps moving forward.
Do you know what happen later when using BIU?

I'm pretty sure the system is then rigged to explode.

I tried and BIU didn't complain at all. Restarted the machine like nothing happened. Perhaps when I start using its features it will complain.

I did this with PFW recently. TeraByte Support told me the app will usually get it right.

I have a MBR disk without a tick in Align on 1 MiB Boundaries. A partition is created on Cylinder boundaries.
I have a MBR disk with a tick in Align on 1 MiB Boundaries. A partition is created on 1 MiB boundaries. I then remove the tick from 1 MiB Boundaries. The next partition created is also on a 1 MiB Boundary.

I have a GPT disk without a tick in Align on 1 MiB Boundaries. A partition is created on 1 MiB boundaries.

Scripting doesn't work in Trial Mode. I'm not sure what happens to other features after a month.

Last comment on this: TeraByte should consider changing the licensing mechanism and warn users before continue installing a program.

I'm not trying to be argumentative or in any way confrontational but if I only have one OS what can this do for me? Is there any point to using BIU in this case?

Well, you don't need it to be installed for multi-booting as you don't have 2 OS. And most things can be done with the BIU UFD anyway.
But if you want to use BootNow (explained earlier) then BIU needs to be installed.

    I really like BootNow.

That's OK, you can do most tasks from the BIU UFD if you need to do something offline. Such as using IFU. But it's not as fast as IFW.

You should test IFU to see if it is slower than IFW. Or faster.

To those with BIU installed. Check your BIOS for Boot Option Priorities. You will see BootIt UEFI is the first item. Any items below aren't needed and can be Disabled. If you like.

When you install another Windows OS, Microsoft creates a Windows Boot Manager item above the BootIt item and BIU won't boot. Your new Windows OS boots. You have to boot the BIU UFD and select Reactivate. This puts BootIt UEFI at the top of the list and BIU boots again. If you can't find your UFD you can enter the BIOS and Disable the Windows Boot Manager item. Or in the Boot Override setting you can choose BootIt UEFI. This will put BootIt UEFI at the top of the Boot Option Priorities list.
