How many different packers will TDS4 be able to decompress? Will every packer that DiamondCS can get their hands on be added?

    Hi wizardavc
Even if there come out new ones as TDS-3 is now we can add them ourselves (in the registered private forum have been given instructions for that long time ago) so why worry about the family 4 in which they will be included where possible.

Well we can get our hands on almost every packer, perhaps some non public ones will take longer to get samples :)

We will have to give details closer to release, already many common formats are supported of course, others will be added in time

    wizardavc,
TDS4 isn't released yet, so don't bother asking questions about it until it has been released as we won't be able to give you concrete answers. :)

    Enjoy the weekend,
    Wayne

i think the following should be unpack

    win rar
    zip
    ace
    jar
    iso
    bin

but with a super fast unpack engine espechialy for jar files

    thats perty much the standard

also when i scan for trojans i want confirmation that tds didnt find any rather then sit there looking at screen thinking will is my system clean or are you on coffe break lol

i wanted new interface but id be more happy with just the albove

Scanning inside archives (ZIP/RAR etc) is fairly straight-forward so that's not much of a problem. It's scanning inside compressed executables that's tricky ...

hmm maybe I'm wrong, but with Execution Protection enabled, you won't need any unpackers.
Is it important how many times a nasty will be detected?
    Am I missing something here?
