I assume that is an XP system using XP home edition

Along with many programs, TDS needs to access/write to certain portions of the registry. A limited user acount with XP home is prohibited by default from using those sections so the program won't work

That isn't a TDS fault it's the XP inbuilt security sytem

the only cure is to give him an administrative account

You will also find that many office programs also won't work fo the same reason

Hi Little Eagle, There is a work around and that is to set TDS3 to "Run as" from the user account.
So right click the TDS3 icon in your Son's account, click properties, click the advanced button and change the "Run with different credentials" ie. as the admin.
