I was playing around with TDS-3 today and noticed it has many of the same features as Port Explorer. Are these programs redundant?

Hi Kegel, that is only in the utilities like whois and port references, not in functionality.

There are very few similarities between Port Explorer and TDS. The only similarities are that they both have a Whois/Traceroute tool, that's about it.

    Hello, Kegel.

As both Jooske and Wayne have stated, TDS does have a couple of tools that PE also has, but that's the limit of their similarity. It's like a bicycle and an automobile - both have tires, but they are very different in all other respects. I use and would recommend both of them. :)
