Boy, do i feel sorry for the Kansas City Royals and all their fans...

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/clubhouse?team=kan

19 game losing streak and quickly closing in on the record held by Baltimore.

I used to always look forward to the Blue Jays playing there as they had one of the prettiest ball parks in the majors IMHO.

Growing up, George Brett was one of my favourite players. How could this storied franchise fall so far....

Should give them the first 5 picks the way they're going. ;)

    Yup...

    Money changes everything. ;) :D

I remember when Kirby Puckett was the first player to break the 3 million dollar mark(per year) and people thought that was outrageous. :D

Utility players make that now.

It's a bidding war these days in all sports. The teams are almost generic.

Can you say Salary Cap? I know you can. Baseball will get one too eventually.

Clements is not cheap! :D And Kansas City is spending nothing. They won't win like that.

That would be "Sigh" Young. :D He earned it. :)

It's no secret what the owner of the Yankees was aiming for. He spent a bundle. :D

I have to agree with everything you all have said about KC. Personally I wouldn't mind if they earned the new loosing streak record. At least they would have some kind of record then. Something to be known for besides----Nothing. :doubt:

Hey how about Boomer Wells. He calls it the way he sees it doesn't he? He was always entertaining when he was in Toronto.

He certainly goes his own way and yes, he was entertaining in his stint here in Toronto. The local beat writers loved him as he was never shy and always spoke his mind no matter what the consequences might be. ;) :D

    Hey People...help me out here!

Three elderly ladies are excited about seeing their first baseball game.
They smuggle a bottle of Hooch into the ballpark.
The game is really exciting and they are enjoying themselves immensely......mixing the Gin w/soft drinks.
Soon they realise that the bottle is almost gone and the game still has a ways to go.

Based on the given info, what inning is it and how many players are on base?

    OMG it's Thursday, big ed

They tried every way they knew NOT to get in the playoffs again this year. :D

They will have to pull a rabbit out of a hat to go very far. :(

Pitching should be in place - just need the bats to reawaken for a stretch..

Yes, Houston certainly has the best starting three in the playoffs( Pettitte, Clemens, Oswalt).

As for the offense, let's see! :D

For me this is the most intriguing series of the playoffs. ;) :D
