system will not boot after install.

    WOW... had to pay for support.... even after doing that i have been onhold for 45 minutes now on long distance....
    nice .... real nice...

    You don't seem keen on ReatogoXPE. That CD would have enabled you to view each and every file on your computer. If your Windows folder is really empty then TI has done a good job of hosing your computer. I hope it's not empty.

    Hey brian and colin.
    Thanks for the help.
    I got support working on it now... paid for the support... need this thing fixed.
    I have an online business and everything is on that box.

    Looks like everything is encripted on that partion.. .not sure ..
    just send support report and waiting for there reply.
    It was alot easier to just hook the hardrive up to my pc then to figure out all the rest...
    But thanks alot for the help i apriciate it alot.
    I will post back to let you know what happens.

    I saw a post (deleted by a moderator) from bodgy last night, . He's in impending retirement from the forum but I'll bet he's still interested in your terrible situation.

    In ReatogoXPE I deleted the contents of the Windows folder. When I rebooted I received the hal.dll error that you saw. I'll keep working on this.

    Same problem here.

    System won't reboot after a recovery and won't reboot after a clone either.

    I've tried it on both my machines. ~Non-support related comment removed. - Ron~

    I've lost all cofidence with Acronis now.

    And they did not respond to my request for any help either
