SYSTEM SLOW AFTER ESS UPGRADE TO Ver4

    Hi! After upgarding my clients from version3 to version4 i have noticed that access to my server is slow at times (intermittently) I have a point of sale software on my server running on a SQL database. I have followed the instructions of ESS installation on server (excluding DB from being scanned etc).

    I am not really sure if ESS is the cause but its the most likely suspect as this started happening after upgarde. This slowness lasts for around 5mins and then is back to normal but it happens daily 2-3 times a day.

    Please if anyone has some things I could try on ESS would really appreciate it.

    Sounds like the start-up scans introduced in V4. Either turn them off in the scheduler or edit them so they only scan when the computer is idle.

    On servers it could be wise just to turn them off and schedule daily scans at night.
