   I tested System Mechanic 7 and Gmer found rootkit, after closer inspection it was a file that is part of Iolo System Mechanic.
   
   Did anybody else expirience this problem? Looks like Symantec hiding ideas are still alive...

   GMER by design does not detect rootkits as such - it merely provides an overall view. Please post the relevant log file.
