    I flew over this thread and I recognize alot.

    All I want to share is that it is possible to instruct Windows at installation time to store the Documents and Settings data structure entirely on a place to your liking: d:\Documents and Settings or d:\personal

    When you create a winnt.sif file on floppy a: that contains the following:
    Code:
    [GuiUnattended]
    ProfilesDir=[I]D[/I]:\Documents and Settings
    then I assure you that the C: partition won't contain that folder structure anymore.

    You find more information about winnt.sif at http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/

    Thanks man !!! I will try this, when I reinstall my winXPproSP2 from scratch, when my external harddisk is delivered.
    This is the most simple method, I've ever seen upto now.
    Simplicity is always brilliant. :)

    Just create an empty snapshot in FD-ISR and play like a child that just got a new toy! :D

    I usually zero my harddisks when I reinstall winXPproSP2 from scratch, just to be sure that any threat has been erased. So my new toy has to wait. :)
