    Equipment: XP Laptop, XP Desktop
    Software: Thunderbird
    Sync software: o_O

My wife primarily uses her laptop for email. Her Thunderbird email profile is also on the desktop for her use when...she feels like it.

At the end of each day, across our home network, I want the Desktop Tbird profile (slave) to be a clone of the Laptop profile.

I have found cloning her profile each night to be a pain. Want something simpler. But I don't want "true syncing" as I don't want the laptop taking on any attributes or files of the desktop folders.

Chamlin, I use this simple program: SyncToy 2.0 to link 2 external drives holding only MP3 music files. Take a look and see if this Free download from Microsoft is what you are looking for.

Thanks to both of you. Great options. Went with Sync 2.0. Simple. Easy to set up "echo". Worked great!!!

Chamlin, glad to hear that Sync 2.0 worked for you and "simple" is the word!
