    Is it safe to run both of these at the same time? Will it cause any conflict?

    I've never seen them conflict on my machine.

    So long as smc.exe is in your protection list and set with “read from protected applications” plus “install global hooks” & “install drivers/services” if you have the full version it will not cause any problems.
