OK, I admit that I was working in a space with excellent ventilation. Probably about 10-15 air changes per hour.
Yeah, that's significant. The "standard" for factories where there are big and "constant" fumes and moisture concerns is 10 - 15 changes per hour. So for occasional and small jobs, 10 is more than a enough. FYI - here's a nice reference. Purely by coincident, last night I was talking to my neighbor who just happens to be firefighter on the HAZMAT squad. He told me about a call they had responded to at a strip mall nail salon where a gallon bottle of Acetone was accidentally dropped on the floor and burst open. The rapid evaporation nearly overcame the 4 people inside in just a couple seconds before they could scramble out the door. The rescue squad still had to put 2 on oxygen and they evacuated to the two adjacent businesses as a precaution. They were all grateful the salon's nearby hot water heater igniter did not start throwing off sparks before they killed power to the place and got it aired out. I am just saying, unexpected accidents can happen too.
