It's a shame they don't work on improving the detection rate.

they just started placing big ads at the bottom of the program unless you enter your license key. This just keeps getting worse.

Looks like it will never get better. I see it this way holding 2 Lifetime Licenses, "Excellent Cookie Cleaner". :argh:

Yeah, the software isn't that good but their website makes up for it.
    O.K. I'm kidding.;)

It's not all bad. If you are technically minded, the System Investigator gives a very good overview of what's on your system, showing things such as Registry Load Points, Services & Drivers and CLSIDs. It could be helpful for finding an infection that your malware scanners fail to detect, or finding leftovers after you uninstall an antivirus.

I've had 2 lifetime licenses for years. Neither will activate (tells me it's already in use) and I don't care enough to contact them on it. There are too many other ways to deal with cookies for it to be worth the bother.

I want to like this security pragram. Everything works beautifully for every version of Windows, XP through 10. It is faithfully maintained. Offers some great special tools. Has an excellent GUI. If only they could get a detection rate at least as good as Clam...

I'm afraid that while ever SAS depends solely on signatures it will always have poor detection rates.

Well golly .. those horrible programmers are trying to earn a living. Despicable money-grubbers -- off with their heads!
Good point roger. I just re-re-re-re-re-installed it. I have tons of room on my HD & it's something to mess around with when I have nothing better to do.

"FP's"? I'm unfamiliar with that one. False positives? I haven't had that issue with clam.
I never install Clam on S.A.P. because it uses too much ram. In their cloud AV it works pretty well.
