I logged in to post the .log file, but you were qucker.

    Cool. Thanks.

Necessery evil. Apparently it's been labeled as "spyware". I have yet to see a firm evidence though.

    Cheers,

Great. Bug has been fixed. I'll wait to have more small bugs like this one fixed before releasing v2.7.4

Wow, i should of read the whole thread. So you bundled that crapware intentionally? You must not value your work real highly to package it with that, i was seriously interested in your ApHeMo but you lost me.

Hope the buck for the crapware install was worth it. :thumbd:

ApHeMo has no sponsor since it is a shareware.

SUMo and other freeware has sponsors. Sponsors can be rejected twice during the install process. "Lite" version do NOT contain sponsors at all.
All Sponsors are on TRUSTe white lists.

    Thanks for your feedback

    Hi,

There have been a "partial" database corruption that lead server to ignore "check" commands all day long.
Now everything's back up and running, with an important "load" due to all users getting back o SUMo !

    Thanks for reporting !

    Kyle

Kyle, can you please add the option to schedule automatic checking of the latest versions of the software installed?

Is anyone else having problems getting Sumo to respond? It seems to be non-responsive the past couple of days for me.

Thanks for confirming - I had to replace my pc last week and I was beginning to think it was something I had created with the new installation. Hopefully, they will realize there is a problem and get back online soon.

Secunia is for security-related stuff only, not for normal updates.

Kyle, sorry to bring this up again, but is there any way you could get out of RK deal?

I understand you have disclosed about it, you provide the lite version free; but still the in the end RK is still being installed on many peoples computers, even if it is due to their inattention.

SUMo is a useful product, I'd like it to make you loads of money, but at best I can only recommend the lite version(which will bring you no revenue); at worst SUMo is associated with RK which would make it a no-no.

Just giving some feedback on revenue strategy.

This is not just because kcsoftwares is a relatively unknown/new entity...recently foxit (the very popular pdf reader) included some third party plugins, and even though users could opt out of it (albeit only if they paid careful attention); quite a few people are mad at it.

You mentioned a 70% drop in revenue last year; may we know what portion has shareware fees made up for?
