A window opens up with "server error. Please retry later" when I try to scan for updates. I have version 2.2.255, is something to do with my system or is it happening to other people?

    Nice program anyway, thanks.

It's been happening to me for the last seven hours. It started as soon as I installed 2.2.2.55. Hope this is fixed ASAP. Otherwise this is a great program.

Appreciate the heads up on the server error problem. Had d/l`d 2.2.2.55 earlier to give it a spin. Guess I will hold off on the install until all is resolved.

Such problems (missing company tag or incorrect version number in exe's properties) shall be solved by the manufacturer of such software. There's no simple and acceptable solution at SUMo's level.

Such company usually fix such problems quickly when contacted by users thru their tech. support.

    Kyle,

I just noticed one problem with Sun Java. I installed the newest version 1.6.0_07, but Sumo reports v. 6.0.0.105 for java.exe giving a FP.

No longer necessary. After rebooting my computer I started a new check and this time everything is as it should be.

    Hi Kyle,

I was just wondering, what code language is SUMo written in? :p

I don't understand one thing. SuRun wasn't detected by Sumo automatically, so I added it manually which was accepted. Another application that wasn't detected was aTunes. I tried to add that app manually as well - but this time I got a popup window that said: "Unable to load the following files:" with atunes.exe (incl. path) listed.

What's the difference between those two cases?

SuRun - Was probably not present on your desktop neither in the Startup menu -> Manual action needed (or deep scan)
aTunes - Does the .exe files contains version info in its properties ?

Is it possible to have folders excluded from scanning? Nearly all .exe's in my download folder are flagged.

Deep. When I use normal it doesn't flag them, but it misses a couple of others too.

I guess there is no such option? I'll stick with normal scanning in that case.

I recommend Normal scan in your case.

No, it doesn't. That explains it, of course. Thanks!
