All fixed (but Firefox was OK : 55.0.3 is current).
I'd like to know which exe file is SUMo pointing to in order to report "55.0.2.6435" for Firefox... would you please tell me ?

WISO was OK according to rule
    Code:
    (%>5%) and (#users>2)
Any proposal to prevent such false positive ?

Could it be that the WISO Sparbuch application's update checker doesn't report the latest version?
When I go to buhl.de/updates, and choose to download WISO Steuer Sparbuch 2017 version 24.08, the resulting downloaded product version is 24.08.1742, file version 24.8.1742.0.
N.B. That is even more recent than the latest version 2017.24.6.1633 reported at SUMo's WISO-Sparbuch 2016/2017 page.

Zone Alarm Pro is showing an update that is not, I think it might be confusing the suite with the Pro version.

15.1.504.17269 seems OK. Maybe SUMo is not reporting the right version number on your system ?

I mentioned that in my post: It's flagging the Portable version minidump-analyzer.exe for both 32 and 64bit". The current portable version of Firefox is still 55.0.2. The portable updated version 55.0.3 does not currently exist.

the WISO update checker may not be reporting correctly as mentioned by Stupendous Man. I guess the surest way to avoid false positives is to download from the official websites to do a verification when the SUMO servers flag any changes. I'm not sure if that would be practical though.

It is what I do. If SUMo reports there's some update available, I check what version the product website mentions, and if in doubt, I download the installer or portable version to check what the file version and product version is.
SUMo is great for reporting the availability of updates, but I think a manual check is sensible.

I actually meant that download verification could be an automated task for SUMO and not the user. May be a difficult task though.

    Ah, thanks, I misunderstood.
It would be nice if SUMo could do such advanced checking, but it is so different from what SUMo does now, that I'm afraid it would need extensive work on SUMo to make it do such advanced checking.

    Just copy/paste your db.sumo from C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\KC Softwares\SUMo

The SUM website also lists a portable version. It's not really portable in that it uses the registry and drops files outside of the folder where the 'portable' version was extracted to. Any chance of using an .ini file and dropping the files from \AppData\Roaming\KC Softwares\SUMO\ into the portable directory?

Then you would have a truely portable app that leaves zero footprint.

Didn't notice portable version. I'd like to have it too as I'm currently exploring and moving towards portable apps.
