    Thanks very much, mood.
That may come in handy, some time.
I didn't know about that code, or I forgot about it.

Or the staff could add a switch to disable/enable smileys. Other forums have it.

Kyle, such switch to disable smilies would be a personal user setting.
If you would disable smilies for you, that wouldn't change the fact that users that haven't disabled smilies would still see text elements like 8) unintentionally displayed as smilies or other BBcode elements.
I think the only way to be sure anyone will see your posts as intended, is to use [PLAIN][/PLAIN]

The send error report is garbage.
Example: showing betas that don't exist , Winrar 5.40.4 , and ProcessLasso 8.9.8.53
After sending in 4 error reports over a month, they give me the answer Just turn of updates forever.
    What a waste of money!

You're not getting the message clearly : i'm just proposing, either to turn off BETA or to use right click > Skip update on beta that triggers (due to the odd WinRAR versionning system)

OK, why can't you fix the problem, after all it is your software.
I bought it for accuracy, not problems.
The first couple Error reporting emails I got the reply "FIXED" weeks ago, Is this your go-to-word?
    Nothing was "FIXED".
    What about ProcessLasso 8.9.8.53

"You're not getting the message clearly : i'm just proposing, either to turn off BETA or to use right click > Skip update on beta that triggers (due to the odd WinRAR versionning system)"

Why didn't you say that in the email? Not that it would make a difference.

    @Circuit,

I'm not entirely sure whether you fully understand how SUMo works.
If you don't want SUMo to show beta versions, do not enable the setting "Allow Beta versions".
If with the setting "Allow Beta versions" disabled, SUMo shows some beta versions, those beta can be reported to KC Softwares and those will be flagged as beta in a day or so, and no longer show if "Allow Beta versions" is disabled.
The same applies if SUMo shows some updates that do not exist or cannot be found, such errors can be reported to KC Softwares.
However, some software has odd versioning systems, it can be hard for KC Softwares to flag such updates in a way it will no longer show in SUMo.
If you are not satisfied with how (or how fast) KC Softwares fixes beta reports and error reports, you are free to ignore certain update reports of which you know they're beta or errors. Right-click, choose "Skip this update", for a certain period, or forever.

And you wrote, "What a waste of money!"
    Essentially, SUMO is freeware.
There is a SUMo PRO edition, but the only things that adds is automatic self-update for the SUMo program, and direct update access capabilities. I think SUMo works fine without.
Did you try the freeware version before you bought the PRO license?
If you would have tried SUMo free, you would have had time so see whether you liked it or not.
If you bought the PRO license without testing, and you don't like it, that's unfortunate, but well, you were free to use and test SUMo without buying a PRO license.

Although you seem dissatisfied now, I really hope you learn to like SUMo.
I have been using it for many years, and I like it a lot, I wouldn't do without.
In the few cases that I encounter errors that Kyle can't fix (software that has odd versioning systems, for instance), I choose "Skip this update", and all is well.

    You state it elegantly.
Having use PerfectUpdater I must have gotten spoiled, did not have this many false reports. Seeing all the positive feedback lured me toward SUMo.
It would seem having betas on, is a 70/30 chance of being right. So I will not use that function.

Off topic, why does Thunderbird bring me to this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/ (cant find it), instead of https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/?
Again "fixed" was the reply, again nothing fixed.

My main problem is the replies always says "Fixed" for all the errors. Lying cuts the credibility of the developer.

Do you mean SUMo brings you to the KC Softwares Thunderbird page, which leads you to KC Softwares Mozilla Foundation page, where the "Web site" button leads to the Mozilla page?
Yeah, that doesn't sound great. It would be much better if the KC Softwares Thunderbird page would lead to the Thunderbird page.
I suppose Kyle can fix that.

There seem to be some communication issues between you and Kyle.
I hope the two of you can solve that, together.
However, your style and tone do not seem very constructive. Calling someone a liar doesn't help much, either.
With such negative attitude, I'm not sure your communication issues are fixable.
And if I were Kyle, I wouldn't bother much. It's not nice being called a liar.

That is the whole beef, saying it is fixed when it is not. Would you call this the truth?
Sorry for the harsh word, but would deceiving be a nicer word?
Please, if it says "FIXED" what should a person expect?
Just trying to make this a better product. There is two sides to the coin.

That is why I think there are some communication issues between you and Kyle, and I hope the two of you can work that out.
Calling Kyle a liar won't help. Speaking for myself, I wouldn't bother much to fix things, if being called a liar.
I hope the two of you can solve your communication issues. That's up to you two. Good luck.

Yes I hope so, but I was referring to the reply email.
Sad you don't know the definition of the word.
Will leave it at that, since nobody knows the word.

"Fixed" you mean? Or another word? Please, try to be clear.
If you are referring to "Fixed", that is what Kyle means. But as any human being, Kyle can be wrong. Sometimes fixing something is not as easy as anticipated. If Kyle is wrong, if something he thought was fixed isn't fixed, that still doesn't make him a liar.

And now you say it's "sad" that I don't know the definition of the word. And you say that "nobody knows the word".
I definitely do not like your style, nor your speaking in riddles.
I pity Kyle for offering support.
I am out of this discussion.

    Hello,

With 100K+ users and dozen of daily report that i'm managing alone in order to keep the database as accurate as possible, i can't write a full A4 letter against all report.
Fixed means that i cured the problem on server side and that it should not appear again.

I'll try to improve my communication style, anyway :)
