IMHO Sumo is the best portable program I use, so is quite perfect and if there are little problems you solve quickly, so it improve every day.

If I can tel just a suggest:
in older version if new sumo was released there was a prompt in every other programs you try update (browser windows) and simply cliccking on the Sumo advise you was redirect to sumo's download page, 2 click and you heve sumo in your pc.
Now in the same situation (sumo new version detected) you only see this in the main windows and have to search sumo site on google, it's just a little less immediate, I prefered the older way (sumo alert on main windows + sumo alert in every browser page of other programs you r tryin' update and in this case direct link to sumo download)

Well I hope you understand, even if is complicated to me explain this in english, this IMHO usefull feature is missed since last month o two

ahhh :) I thought was a design choice
Thanks for you help, have a developer able to hear user suggest (or explain why he can't, in case is not possible) is the base for a great program IMHO

You, Joe in Prevx thread (now WSA) and Erik Loman for HitmanPro have this great attitude missed in other IT company

Thank you so much for these positive comments :)

Concerning the reported bug, i'll try to work on this today. I'll post here as soon as i get it to work (I had to delay i little bit because the MySQL table were found corrupted this morning causing a few hours SUMo service interruption (no results & poor overall performances))

This version is totally bugged for me. The GUI doesn't respond after a second launch. The scan ends showing 0 programs.

Using the portable zip, already tried cleaning every trace of SUMo. Already tried running it with elevated privileges as well.

Now I decided to try the installed version (non-portable).

Again, the scan ends showing 0 programs despite detecting multiple programs during its progress.

What's the "associated SUMo log file"?

    I'm posting what I see when I open the SUMo.log located at C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\KC Softwares\SUMo

My bug is different. When I try the scan, it ends showing 0 programs despite detecting multiple programs during its progress. If I close SUMo and then open it again, the GUI gets unresponsive for some seconds. In short, I can't get SUMo to detect any of my programs. The scan feature seems to be broken.

OK, then please run a scan and after its end, post the log (accessible thru ?->Open log menu item)

Start.exe comes with PA.com Platform: PortableApps.com Platform Setup

Anyways, I zipped Start.exe and uploaded it. Check your PM inbox for the link.

As a side, I don't know why recent versions of SUMo started to automatically detect PA.com software. PA.com Platform already updates all of them... and if one wanted SUMo to scan PA.com software, he could simply point SUMo to the relevant folder.

Edited: and the link http://www.kcsoftwares.com/bugs/view.php?id=1562 seems to be down.

    Hello,

I confirm that root cause is start.exe, causing loading thread to fail.
This will be fixed before end of next week end :)

    Thanks !
